What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that traces its origins to the medieval stonemason guilds. It emphasizes moral and ethical teachings through symbolic rituals and ceremonies. Freemasons are taught to uphold principles of brotherhood, charity, and personal development every day. Our fraternity is organized into individual Lodges. Across every Lodge, differences and uniqueness is to be found.

How does one become a Mason?

One typically needs to express an interest in joining to a local Lodge, meet the membership qualifications, and be sponsored by other members. The process involves spending time getting to know other members, submitting an petition, undergoing a background check, and being interviewed. If approved, the candidate goes through three unique degrees, becoming a complete member of the fraternity after the 3rd degree.
